County Durham residents are being given the opportunity to discover (or rediscover) the joys of bike riding as part of a Bike Month Challenge.
The county council has linked up with lovetoride.net/uk to promote a month-long campaign to get people back in the saddle.
Green county councillor and keen cyclist Jonathan Elmer said: “Cycling benefits everyone. It is good for the environment and good for the physical and mental health of individuals. I would urge everyone, whether they are new to cycling, coming back to it, or regular cyclists, to get involved.”
It is free to register and there are prizes to win. Go to lovetoride.net/durham to register.
